On June 2, 2026, Plus PM Consultant Sdn Bhd received the “Social Responsibility Contribution Award” at the ICPMA Awards 2026 for the “Penang Japanese School Renovation Project.”
This project involved the renovation of a more than 100-year-old heritage building located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town, creating a safe and suitable learning environment for Penang Japanese School following its relocation.
The project required careful coordination with multiple authorities, including the city council, Fire and Rescue Department, and Ministry of Education. While preserving the historical character of the building, Plus PM supported the renovation works and regulatory approval process to help the school reopen in time for the new academic term.
ICPMA recognized the project for its positive social impact in supporting the timely relocation of the school and ensuring the continuity of education. It also acknowledged the successful navigation of heritage preservation challenges while achieving current safety standards.
